Free photo animation with MasterCard and Alterwave

During their sponsorship of the “La Terrasse de l’Hippodrome de Boitsfort” evenings, MasterCard asked Alterwave, specialist in Bluetooth Mobile Marketing, to organize and sustain a dynamic compete.

The objective of MasterCard was to re-enforce the brand experience with the product and make the attendees participate to the evenings by being their own animators. The participation should be “live” and each participant could see immediatly the results of its intervention.
Therefore, each Friday, the public is asked to take original pictures integrating the MasterCard brand: the card, the logo or any other element. To dynamize the compete, branded promo-girls circulate around the area to convince the public to take pictures, to explain the game and to give some advices to participate.
These pictures are then sent to the MasterCard Bluetooth hotspots without any charges and costs. After reception they are immediatly displayed on plasma screens and the participants could directly see the results of their creative artworks. This is a wonderfull opportunity to take fully part of the event, be creative when taking the pictures and have fun when seeing them.
More and more people among the young public are keen on to “play” with the brands and put them into situation corresponding to their values and tone of voice. This is an origanal way to translate the brand assets into “live situations”.
Of course, the objective is not only to take pictures but also, by acting like this, to participate to a compete where the winner will receive a PrePaid MasterCard of a total value of 250€.
A jury is selecting the best photo of the evening and the lucky winner is immediatly prompted by Bluetooth on is mobile and asked to come to receive the PrePaid Card.
The results and participation level are outstanding! At least a photo each 2 minutes is sent to the Alterwave hotspots during more than 3 hours. The choice between all the photos is difficult to do!
Once again, Alterwave Bluetooth solutions demonstrate its flexibility in Pull and Push interaction model with dynamic, original and tailor-made solutions.
