Augmented reality app opens up new dimensions in orthopaedics technology.

With the augmented reality app, Ottobock invites you on an interactive tour of the diverse world of orthopaedics technology.

The search term 'Ottobock' in the app store take users directly to the software that can be downloaded for free. After installation on a smartphone or tablet, the app can be used to give an innovative presentation of product highlights in medical technology.

Like a virtual eye, the display augments the actual surroundings with digital information. The three-dimensional experience makes it possible to explore new developments in orthopaedics on your own.

Equipped with a product image and a smartphone or tablet, users can experience Ottobock products in an entirely new dimension. Augmented reality overlays reality like a second skin. This software enables the camera of the mobile devices to capture images from the surroundings. On the display, virtual animations of the products and their use enhance the real world. The visitors to the website control navigation themselves.

The interactive form of augmented reality gives users striking views of the Genium leg prosthesis system, the Michelangelo hand and the C-Brace® orthosis system.

The menu item 'Hotspots' has extensive information in English and German that gives more details on the individual components of the products. The animation goes even deeper. The three-dimensional presentation gives the orthopaedic developments a sense of depth. Viewers can inspect the animated object from all sides as if it were in a showcase. A look into the interior allows a closer inspection of the technical aspects. Integrated user videos accent the product presentation. The unique application combines specific information placement with edutainment and a sustained emotional experience.

For the product images and a demo video, please visit www.ottobock.com/augmented-reality. The apps are now available in the App stores, search term Ottobock.
