Bruno Greiling Finishes on the Podium Right Away at the DKM Race in Ampfing on July 17-19

Muelsen, July 22, 2026. At the third round of the German Karting Championship (DKM) in Ampfing, Bavaria, from July 17-19, young racing driver Bruno Greiling once again delivered a strong result. Although the 14-year-old was competing on this track--which was new to him--for the first time, he showed no signs of struggling to adapt from the very first session and consistently remained among the leaders. In the end, he secured second place in the final, impressively confirming the strong form he's shown in recent weeks.

Strong Performance Despite an Unfamiliar Track

As early as Saturday's qualifying session, Greiling made it clear just how quickly he can adapt to new conditions. With a fourth-place finish and a gap of just 0.130 seconds to pole position, he was a hair's breadth away from the top of the field, leaving no doubt from the start that he was poised for a strong weekend. In the two subsequent qualifying races, he impressively confirmed this form: After finishing 8th in the first race, he improved to a strong second place in the second race, securing his position at the front of the tightly packed field.

Podium After a Strong Final Day

On Sunday, Greiling seamlessly built on the strong form he'd shown the previous day. In the Superheat, he moved up from fifth on the grid to second place, securing an excellent starting position for the final. There, he once again delivered a focused and flawless performance, ultimately crossing the finish line in second place, beaten only by the local hero, who was dominant this weekend. It was the best result within his team this weekend and further proof that Greiling is among the most consistent and fastest young riders in the field. After two previously challenging races this season, this weekend's result also allowed him to make a significant jump in the overall championship standings from 8th to 5th place, bringing him significantly closer to the top of the championship once again.

Prominent Support for the Junior Team

The race weekend took on special significance thanks to a new partnership between the Arena E Sachsenring Junior Team and HRT Racing, which is set to serve as a training ground for professional race car drivers in the future. To support the young talents, two experienced DTM professionals--David Schumacher, son of Ralf Schumacher, and Arjun Maini--were on site and competed in the senior class themselves. For the junior drivers on the team, including Bruno Greiling, the direct interaction with the two pros was a special experience and once again underscored the professional approach the team takes in developing its young talent at the highest level.

Bruno Alexander Greiling is a 14-year-old up-and-coming racer in international karting.
