Bruno Greiling Successfully Completes First Test in a GT Race Car at the Red Bull Ring

Young racing driver Bruno Greiling completed his first test day in a GT race car on July 15, demonstrating remarkable talent for this new class of vehicles right from the start. The 14-year-old, who has primarily made a name for himself in karting so far, got behind the wheel of a McLaren Artura EVO for the first time at the Red Bull Ring--a car that is otherwise successfully driven by his father.

A Professional Environment for His First Step

The test day was organized by the experienced and successful MS Racing team as part of a race training session attended by several professional racing teams, including Manthey Racing. Florian Janits, an experienced coach who himself had a successful career as a race car driver for many years and now works for various professional teams as a driver, instructor, and coach, was on hand to mentor the young drivers.

Impressive Performance on the First Day

Team principal Matthias Stepanek, coach Florian Janits, and the team's technicians were thrilled by the young driver's strong performance. In particular, Bruno Greiling's willingness to learn and his control of the car far exceeded expectations for a driver making his debut in a GT race car. By the end of the first day of testing, his lap time was already just under 0.5 seconds behind the coach's benchmark time--a result that brought visibly beaming smiles to the team.

More Tests Already in the Works

Following this successful introduction to GT racing, additional test days are already planned for Bruno Greiling. With this step, the young racer is not only staying true to his athletic goal of continuously improving but is also expanding his driving portfolio beyond karting.

About Bruno Alexander Greiling

Bruno Alexander Greiling is a 14-year-old up-and-coming racer in international karting. Since winning the 2021 Andalusian Championship, he has racked up podium finishes and victories in national and European championships, including success at the 2025 IAME Winter Cup and a race win in the German Kart Championship. In the 2026 season, he will compete as a factory driver for Formula K as well as for the Arena E Sachsenring Junior Team.
