JMA Pilani FDP Banasthali Prof Neelam Chaturvedi talks on Nutrition for Teachers

Right from its inception, Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy - JMA Pilani has embarked on a rich tradition of celebrating various days of national and international significance and festivals which makes it a cut above the rest schools in Pilani. Quality teacher does not mean qualified teacher but also those who have the characteristics: knowledge, skills, right attitude and passion. Keeping the above in mind, JMA Pilani focuses on human resource improvement for its teachers by conducting Faculty Development Programs - FDP on a regular basis.

On 29 June 2026, well-known food science & nutrition expert Prof. Neelam Chaturvedi, who has over two decades of teaching and research experience at Banasthali Vidyapith, gave a talk to highlight the importance of nutrition for teaching professionals. Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan introduced the expert to the audience, proposed a vote of thanks, and presented a memento to the distinguished speaker.

The talk focused on optimal nutrition for teachers and included the importance of nutrition for teachers, health consequences due to improper nutrition, teachers' brain and energy needs, carbohydrates - proteins - fats in nutrition for teachers, micronutrients for cognitive performance, hydration, smart snacking, the importance of breakfast, stress-reducing foods, practical tips for busy teachers and key takeaways.
