At the new Eurobee Honey Award, one of the most important quality competitions in the industry, the family business's sunflower honey (alongside heather honey and acacia honey) was awarded the gold medal. Particularly impressive: with a GOX value of +200, this honey far exceeds the usual market standards.

A value that speaks for itself: Why GOX +200 is so special

The GOX value measures the activity of the enzyme glucose oxidase. This enzyme is responsible for naturally releasing antibacterial substances in honey. While conventional honeys often have significantly lower values, the value of +200 is proof of the highest biological activity and particularly gentle processing.

"This award is confirmation of our philosophy. We give nature the time it needs and intervene as little as possible," explains master beekeeper Klaus Ahrens, owner of Ahrens Beekeeping.

Tradition since 1910 - that's what Ahrens Beekeeping German Honey stands for. For over a century we have been passionately dedicated to beekeeping and the production of genuine, natural German honey.

Today, the family business is run by master beekeeper Klaus Ahrens, who is the third generation to carry on the trade with great expertise and love for his bees. His son Jonas Ahrens trained in his parents' business and will continue the beekeeping with the same dedication in the future - in keeping with the family tradition.

Our bees are kept in selected, natural locations where they collect nectar from a wide variety of flowers. This results in honeys full of character and pure varieties that reflect the special features of our homeland.

We work close to nature, sustainably and with respect for the bees. Every honey is carefully harvested, cold extracted and bottled in its natural state - for an unadulterated taste experience.
