secura protect collects over 200 kilograms of waste on World Cleanup Day 2025

Langenselbold, September 20, 2025: The secura protect group of companies participated in this year's World Cleanup Day with a total of four teams in different regions of Germany. In less than two hours, employees, families and partners together collected around 200 kilograms of waste - from cigarettes and fast food packaging to car tires and an old vacuum cleaner.

"The result left us personally more shocked than proud. It shows how urgently more awareness is needed when dealing with waste," explains Hedda Stroh, Sustainability Officer at secura protect.

The teams were in action in Langenselbold, Berlin, Dresden and on the island of R?gen. It was particularly noteworthy that children from FlexiKids gGmbH were also active together with our Dresden team. In Berlin, Managing Director V. Korneev was out and about with his Berlin team, while an employee from Brandenburg organized his own collection campaign with friends and family on the island of R?gen. Managing Director Patrick Pond and his 13-strong team got involved in Langenselbold near Frankfurt/Main.

By participating in World Cleanup Day, secura protect is underlining its commitment to environmental and climate protection, which is an integral part of its sustainability strategy. In addition to ISO 14001 certification and the EcoVadis Platinum Medal award, the company focuses on concrete measures and campaigns that promote both the environment and team spirit.

"We want to motivate our employees in a simple, cheerful way - not so much through rules, but through joint activities that are fun and meaningful. If we can reach even one person who recognizes that every cigarette and every handkerchief endangers our livelihood, then we're already one step closer," says Hedda Stroh.

In the end, Stroh emphasizes: "For us, CSR means taking our corporate responsibility very seriously - not only in the security industry, but also in environmental and climate protection. Campaigns such as World Cleanup Day are a good way of making this sense of responsibility visible both within the company and outside it."

secura protect plans to participate in World Cleanup Day in the coming years as well and to regularly carry out smaller environmental campaigns at its own locations.
