EcoVadis Platinum: secura protect is one of the most sustainable security companies worldwide

Langenselbold, May 2025 - The secura protect group of companies from Langenselbold has been awarded the platinum medal by EcoVadis, one of the world's leading platforms for sustainability ratings. With an overall score of 83 out of 100 points, the company is now among the top 1% of all companies assessed worldwide. The areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement were evaluated. As a security service provider, secura protect is thus a pioneer within its industry.

"This award is not a snapshot, but the result of consistent work over many months," says Hedda Stroh, sustainability officer at secura protect and certified CSR manager. "We are delighted with the recognition - and take it as an incentive to continue on our path with even more determination."

Sustainability as a corporate strategy

The platinum rating is based on comprehensive documentation of guidelines, measures and key figures in four ESG areas. secura protect has been pursuing a structured sustainability strategy since 2023, which is underpinned by several standards and memberships:

* Signatory of the Diversity Charter
* Certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
* German Sustainability Code
Publication of a DNK sustainability report in accordance with GRI standards

The published report provides external stakeholders with a comprehensive insight into the company's sustainability strategy and objectives.

With the establishment of a central staff unit for sustainability and an internal project structure, the topic has been firmly anchored in the company's organization.

"As a security company, we not only see ourselves as responsible for people, but also for the environment, fairness and integrity," emphasizes Managing Director Patrick Pond. "The EcoVadis award shows that sustainable action and economic success are not mutually exclusive."

A guide for smaller companies

Particularly noteworthy is the holistic and documented approach with which secura protect has fulfilled the EcoVadis requirements. For subcontractors and small partner companies, the company offers specific recommendations on how to get started with sustainability management - including through training, its own codes of conduct and step-by-step documentation.
