Langenselbold - Diversity is not just a buzzword at secura protect - it is part of everyday life. Under this guiding principle, the secura protect group of companies used German Diversity Day 2025 not only as a day of action, but also as an impulse to make visible what is otherwise taken for granted: diversity in a professional field that is often underestimated by society.

In an industry where people of different origins, religions, skin colors and backgrounds work together every day, diversity means: everyday life, but also responsibility.

Diversity as part of the corporate culture

"How do you make something visible that many people take for granted?" The sustainability officer at secura protect asked herself this question as part of her CSR activities. The answer was found in a committed action package that involved employees from all hierarchical levels and invited them to participate, exchange ideas and reflect. Diversity lunch as a meeting format

The first Diversity Lunch on 22 May 2025 was a special highlight: employees from the administration department came together in the colorfully decorated foyer of the head office to eat and chat over international finger food. A short keynote speech on the various dimensions of diversity accompanied by an informative presentation and numerous in-depth discussions made the diversity practised in the company tangible and tangible.

#VoteForDiversity: Buttons as personal statements

As a visible sign of diversity, all participants received a button at the lunch, which was labeled with personal terms on the topic of diversity. From "humanity" to "freedom", many very individual contributions were made. These personal "voices for diversity" will now be arranged into a joint work of art that will adorn the foyer of the head office in future - a powerful symbol of openness, respect and appreciation in everyday corporate life.

Employee survey and word cloud

At the same time, an anonymous online survey was conducted among around 800 employees. The questions asked included: "What do you spontaneously associate diversity with?" The most frequent answers - including terms such as origin, respect, freedom, justice and gender - were compiled into a colorful word cloud. In future, this will be presented as a poster in the newly created "Diversity Corner" in the lounge area of the head office.
