Planned PEThood's Outreach Event In Athens-Clarke

Athens-Clarke County, GA - On September 20, 2025, Planned PEThood Of Georgia's Outreach Team brought lifesaving care to Athens-Clarke County in a one-day community event that made a big impact for local pets and families.

With the rising cost of veterinary care, many families face difficult decisions between household expenses and their pets' health needs. Planned PEThood is working to change that by bringing free resources directly to the communities that need them most.

During the Athens event, the Outreach Team provided:
-Free pet vaccines
-Free microchips
-Free flea preventatives
-Free pet supplies

In just four hours, more than 120 pets received essential services, giving animals the protection they need and families the peace of mind they deserve. Each wagging tail and thankful smile reinforced the importance of Planned PEThood's mission to keep pets healthy, safe, and at home with the families who love them.

Special thank you to Petco Love, who co-sponsored this event.

And this is only the beginning. The next community outreach event will take place in Gwinnett County on October 25, 2025.
