The pan-American BITSian BITSync 2025 Conference indeed a Stellar Constellation

BITS Pilani Alumni Association Silicon Valley Chapter BITSAA SV from 2016 brings together every year a whole matrix of dreamers performers and achievers around the world to discuss Industry trends, Entrepreneurship, building Indo American companies and much more.

The BITSAA SV Chapter hosted its annual flagship leadership conference, BITSync '25, at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View on May 31st, 2025 drawing over 450 BITS Pilani alumni from across the globe. With the theme "The Age of Disruption," the event showcased the dynamic impact of BITSians across industries, from AI to entrepreneurship.

BITSAA Silicon Valley Chapter boasts a network of over 10,000 alumni and a 50-member volunteer team. "BITSync'25 has been the biggest BITSian alumni gathering in the last five years outside India," said Kriti Bapnad, the chapter's Chief Marketing Officer.

Keynote speaker Revathi Advaithi, CEO of Flex and a Fortune Most Powerful Women honoree in 2025, shared insights on leadership through disruption and her journey from factory floors to boardrooms. Google's Chief Technologist, Prabhakar Raghavan, joined a fireside chat hosted by Miriam Daniel, VP & GM of Google Maps. His father, 95-year old Mr. Vijaya Raghavan, a proud BITS Pilani alumnus from the first few batches was also in attendance and was felicitated by the Institute, standing as a living testament to the institution's enduring legacy.

The event was also marked by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani, Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao who highlighted BITSync's role in bridging alumni and students across continents. BITSAA SVC's Chief Strategy Officer Harshiel Shah emphasized the conference's value as a networking platform for startup founders, corporate leaders, and mentors.

The agenda included thought-provoking panels on navigating personal passions, next-gen computing architectures, and a tech debate on whether AI is truly making us smarter. The Startup Showcase featured six BITSian-led ventures, which secured over $500,000 in funding from BITS Spark. In a landmark announcement, alumnus Raju Reddy (Batch of 1976) pledged $1 million toward a new $100 million endowment fund to support social entrepreneurs from BITS.

BITSync'25 stood out not only for its scale but also for reinforcing the strength and spirit of the BITSian community in a time of rapid technological change.

Every BITSian in Silicon Valley takes pride in acknowledging the fact that a successful entrepreneur needs to acquire Information Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Decision Making Skills, Communication Skills apart from Ability for Time, Stress as well as Project Management and that the BITS Pilani System of education gave them ample avenues for acquiring the same.
