The markilux "collection one" has been extended with ten colourful new "visutex patterns".

markilux is extending its cover fabric collection with ten refreshing "visutex patterns"

Last year, the latest markilux awning cover fabric collection was launched. Its dynamic concept was surprising: in the future, the collection will be updated regularly by the addition of trendy new fabrics. This year a first edition of new "visutex patterns" is being launched in a colourful pop-art style.

According to markilux, the "collection one" is a "breathing" awning fabric collection. New patterns and colours, that draw their inspiration from current trends, art and lifestyle themes, are to update the collection from time to time, thus giving it a vibrant pulse. In the future, some fabrics will make way for new ones. With this new Pop-Art Edition, the awning specialist is initially extending the collection with ten exclusive "visutex patterns".

New fabrics enrich collection
From finely lined through suggested colour gradations to modern interpretations of block stripes, the patterns in "sunsilk" quality with sunny orange, vibrant red and bright pink are each better than the other. You'll be spoilt for choice. Textile designer Annette Busch was inspired by current colour trends and the pop art of the 1950s and 1960s. Particularly the works of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol gave the impetus for the colourful edition. "I am sure that we have indulged the tastes of both artists with our new patterns," says Ms Busch. And they certainly enrich the "collection one" with their vividness. Otherwise, the collection is remaining the same for the time being.

Giving al fresco living a fresh impulse
"We felt that our awning fabric collection held a large number of subdued shades and could do with something more impulsive as a contrast", explains Annette Busch. "Something that breathes a bit of fresh air into an outdoor living style, that gives energy and creates a pleasant atmosphere," she adds. After all, life is colourful in all its diversity. And, according to her, there are so many furnishing and colour trends that successfully co-exist today - from light pastel colours to natural beige tones and darker shades. But there is still room for improvement in the range when it comes to vibrant colours. With patterns in pop-art style, patios and balconies will certainly experience a colourful energy boost. markilux specialist partners have been sent extra fabric sets with the additional ten patterns, together with corresponding fabric hangers. Now, designer Annette Busch can't wait to see how the new cover edition is received by end consumers and how the range unfurls its positive power.

Colour your summer
Colour your summer
Giving awning covers a touch of summer freshness The world around us seems to have been lacking colour for some time now. Wherever you look, nothing but a range of greys and creams. This trend is dominating the awning world, too. And yet awnings have so much more potential, and in terms of colour could even compete with the flower beds. Beige and grey or anthracite are the stars of the residential

Today, awning covers tend to be on the inconspicuous side. But markilux feels they could also show a little summer freshness. Colour trends come and go. However, the trend of non-colours seems to be here to stay. The soft cream, grey and anthracite shades have their rightful place in the colour universe. They are discreet, team up well with other things and therefore also go well with bold accent colours. Over
