Busch promotes sustainability at K 2019

Busch’s latest vacuum solutions for plastics processing were met with great interest at the K 2019 trade show
Its variable speed drive enables the demand-driven control of PLASTEX degassing systems. The output can be perfectly matched with the material to be extruded and the extruder. Process parameters can also be recorded on a permanent basis, creating the conditions required for complete control over the degassing or extrusion process.
PLASTEX degassing systems are equipped with MINK claw vacuum pumps. These vacuum pumps operate dry. This means that no operating fluids that could mix into the extracted monomers, gases and vapors are required in the compression chamber. An automatic flushing device can be adjusted to suit the materials to be extruded and can be activated either during extrusion or during the overrun period. As a result, even materials that are more complex or non-homogenous can be securely degassed during extrusion.
Busch also introduced trade show visitors to its vacuum solutions for pneumatic material feed. MINK claw vacuum pumps have now established themselves as the industry standard in this field. A MINK MV 0600 B was on display at the trade show booth. This frequency-controlled vacuum pump is the latest size to be added to the MINK series. It features high, stable pumping speeds, even in low pressure ranges. The variable speed drive enables the pumping speed to be adjusted to demand during the material feeding process. This allows material to flow through the pipes with an exceptional level of energy efficiency and at the ideal speed.
