Over the years, gardens, terraces and balconies have become living spaces where more and more people spend their leisure time: especially if they have an atmosphere with a feel-good factor. An attractive lighting concept plays an essential part in this. This is exactly why the awning manufacturer markilux has designed the system "mx light" - initially for two of its models. It is based on a number of different LED light sources which immerse outdoor spaces in a neutral, warm white to coloured light.

The garden has become the focus of life for many people over the summer. This is where they spend most of their time with family and friends. And not just during the day, but also in the evening. This is why awning specialist markilux has developed the lighting system "mx light", controlled by means of an app, for its latest models, the "MX-4" and the "pergola style".

Skilfully combining a range of different lighting effects
Using the lighting options "light warm white", "ambient" and "ambient plus", this system can be used to illuminate gardens, patios and balconies with warm white light or accentuate certain areas by bathing them in colour. This gives the dining area a different lighting mood from the cosy reading corner, the lounge area or flower beds and individual plants that you want to highlight in the evening. Individual lighting scenarios can be defined to suit the mood and occasion. "The flexibly adjustable spotlights and LED Lines can also be used to effectively illuminate the façade and the awning. Overall, the system offers plenty of options to combine effects instead of using just one single light source," explains Christiane Berning, Head of Marketing and Business Development. She is of the opinion that a good lighting concept contributes to a calming and relaxing atmosphere. It also ensures that the patio or steps that might otherwise be missed are seen at night.
