qSCALE I2 - a Cost-Effective Innovation for Safe Load Indication
The qSCALE SLI family brings together more than 30 years of development and practical experience of the PAT and Krüger brands, which stand for innovative, precise, and reliable SLI solutions. The world market leader, Hirschmann MCS, has combined this extensive expertise with its enormous innovativeness to create the unique new iSCALE Control System for applications in this field.
The outstanding advantages of the qSCALE I2:
- An easy-to-use project planning tool eliminates the need for time-consuming and work-intensive software development; simple parametrization of the SLI is all it takes.
- The graphical user interface supports the crane operator and helps to prevent operating mistakes.
- Extremely fast calibration reduces the cost of preparing cranes for use.
- Highly accurate load measurement enables even better use of the upper range of lift capacity charts.
- High quality and reliability reduce expenditures for maintenance and repairs.
- The underlying concept of the iSCALE Control System was developed based on both current and future standards. This ensures that the crane conforms to all regulations worldwide.
Easy-to-Use Project Planning Tools
The qSCALE I2 project planning tool completely does away with the need to program software. This permits more efficient planning and creation of new crane types. It also enables cost-effective use of the qSCALE I2 for retrofitting purposes.
Faster, Simpler Crane Calibration for Greater Efficiency
To boost the efficiency of production, crane manufacturers need to greatly speed up the calibration process. A new mathematical model now minimizes the amount of work required for calibration right from the crane prototyping stage, which is additionally simplified by a menu-driven calibration process. For series production of telescopic cranes, the functional tests for TÜV technical approval in Germany and the associated overload trials are usually enough to determine the required parameters for crane calibration. During production, it is then only necessary to adjust the sensors.
Graphical User Interface Makes Life Easier for Crane Operators
A graphical user interface optimally supports the crane operator, guiding him step by step through the following settings to achieve the right configuration. This comprises the following parametres:
- Telescopic mode
The operator selects graphical elements that he can see and compare with the crane with only minimal use of texts and language. This has the advantage of much easier use without having to refer to numerical or other lists. It also enhances safety by reducing the risk of selecting an incorrect operating mode.
Forward-Looking Investment Safeguards
The new iSCALE Control System and the new series of sensors from Hirschmann MCS deliver efficient, future-proof control and safe load indication solutions that satisfy both present and future requirements for any mobile crane application.
