Practical Tests of Consoles Convince Visitors to Paris Trade Show

Hirschmann MCS showcased innovative safe load indication systems for cranes and aerial work platforms in Paris.

Hirschmann MCS showcased innovative safe load indication systems for cranes and aerial work platforms in Paris.

At INTERMAT 2012 in Paris, Hirschmann Mobile Machine Control Solutions (MCS) and its longtime partner, ESCAL S.A., impressed visitors with mature technology and great designs.

Visitors to the joint booth in Hall 5A were enthralled to watch the vSCALE D2 and vSCALE D3 consoles of the iSCALE Control System in action: The seven-inch D3 console showed demanding safe load indication (SLI) functionality, as well as other crane data in the form of analog instruments. This comprehensive, attractive display harvested enthusiastic praise from trade visitors. The smaller 4.3-inch D2 console was even shown in a real application controlled by the cSCALE in an IP 67 housing. A safe load indication for knuckle-boom cranes was programmed using programmable switching amplifier function blocks. In this case as well, the audience was very impressed - especially by the effective calibrating procedure.

As a result, the iSCALE Control System – the forward-looking automation platform – won even more fans this year, in which the INTERMAT show set new records. With 145,082 trade visitors (and more than 200,000 in all), up 15.8 percent from 2009, and 1,350 exhibitors (67 percent of them from other countries), INTERMAT once again demonstrated its enormous importance for the international construction sector.

Alongside these highlights and the new KMD (tension load cell) and DKA (compression force transducer) standard force sensors, Hirschmann MCS und ESCAL S.A. showcased two safe load indicators at their booth: the Krüger Mark4 and, very popular in North Africa, the PAT DS95. These products also attracted considerable attention.

Hirschmann MCS isn’t only known for its future-proof products and solutions, which conform to all major safety standards. The range of the leading provider of innovative safe load indication systems for cranes and aerial work platforms also excels in terms of reliability, long life, and performance.
