Metal style for exclusive taste
The 'Selection MX' colour range with metallic surfaces by markilux has struck a chord with a demanding target group.
Since last year, surfaces in real metal have given the front profiles of the MX models from markilux a special shine. The perfect complement: colour recommendations for cassette and awning cover. This concept, the ‘Selection MX’, is particularly popular with end customers who are looking for something exquisite in their awning.
Metal as an accentuating touch is an evergreen in the furnishing world. This trend hit the awning world in 2020: in the form of the ‘Selection MX’ from markilux. Since then the company has been offering its designer awnings MX-3 and MX-1 compact in a special colour range.
Colour recommendations have proven their worth
The front profiles of the two awning models are thus now available in copper, bronze and brass with a high real metal content as well as in warm metallic tones and extravagant effect paints in craquelé look. Ten matching colour combinations for the awning housing and solar protection fabric have been put together to help the end customer make a harmonious choice. This resulted in the ‘Selection MX’ being named winner of the ‘German Design Award’ 2021. ‘Our compositions of metallic accent tones with particular frame colours and fabric patterns have proven successful. Because with the number of covers and colours we offer, a recommendation is always worth its weight in gold and is something customers genuinely welcome,’ says Christiane Berning, Head of the Marketing and Business Development Department at markilux. To date, the recommended combinations have been the popular choice as opposed to colour combinations put together on an individual basis.
Customers looking for quality down to the very last detail
With its rustic to stylish look, the ‘Selection MX’ primarily appeals to a target group interested in modern to classical architecture and special materials. Particularly the real metal surfaces with their natural patina are very popular. According to Ms Berning, they team up well with other materials around the house and garden. ‘But the metallic surfaces and effect paints with their iridescent look are also capable of entering into an exciting dialogue with elements of the façade,’ she says, adding that the MX models offer quality down to the very last detail with this exclusive colour range. They are technically smart, durable products with a special design. And that is precisely the combination that discerning prospective buyers are looking for today – a fact backed up by recent target group analyses. According to Christiane Berning, markilux is on exactly the right track with the current metal style.
