SelfCAD releases lasso selection - 2D selection tool in 3D

SelfCAD just released the Lasso Selection, the tool for selecting objects or regions of the object, like Faces or Vertices, inside a freely drawn region.

It was one of the most requested features by designers transitioning from 2D to 3D. It's a popular drawing selection tool in software like Photoshop, which allows users to select objects or parts of those objects (such as faces or vertices) within the drawn range, providing precision and flexibility when it comes to selection.

Despite it being requested by designers, it's especially beneficial for beginners and people just dabbling in 3D, as it offers a very easy option for selection by drawing. It streamlines the more monotonous parts of 3D design and allow users to focus on what really matters.

SelfCAD expanded this tool as well. On top of the basic version, which allows you to select objects entirely or just partially enclosed within the drawn range, SelfCAD added options to select shapes intersecting with the drawn line. You just need to select the required option from the drop-down menu.
