Mike Bissel of Inkcups Now Corp. to Speak at SPE Decorating & Assembly Division Topical Conference 2010

Mike Bissel, Vice President of Inkcups Now Corporation, will give a talk on Decoration Options for 3D Plastic Parts at the Tune Into Innovation 2010 Topical Conference organized by Society of Plastic Engineers’ (SPE) Decorating and Assembly Division and managed by Peterson Publications, publishers of Plastics Decorating Magazine.

The SPE Decorating & Assembly Division 2010 Topical Conference (TopCon) will be held in June 15-16, 2010, at the Marriott Franklin Cool Springs, just outside Nashville, TN. The TopCon will focus on the latest technologies in plastics decorating and assembly, including surface modification, green solutions in pad printing equipment, inkjet printing, screen printing, laser marking, in-mold decorating, chrome plating, painting methods, welding of bio-plastics, ultrasonic welding and more. New this year, the TopCon will feature a half-day breakout session specifically devoted to emerging technologies in plastics assembly processes. At the special Supplier Trade Fair on Tuesday, June 15, the attendees will be able to visit a variety of suppliers to the plastics decorating and assembly industry.

As the guest speaker, Mike Bissel will address the topic of evaluating the decorating alternatives for 3 dimensional plastic parts. Highlights include new decorating technologies such as digital printing with inkjet printers as well as traditional decorating choices, such as pad printing and screen printing. Mike will outline the advantages of each type of decorating process for specific applications and what is the most cost effective method for a particular plastic part.
