Press release from: ETAP Canada Ltd.

ETAP Canada Ltd., a Canadian power systems analysis and design solutions provider, is proud to announce the release of ETAP 7.0. With new time-saving features, quicker processing times and highly capable analysis modules, ETAP software continues to remain at the forefront of innovative power systems enterprise solutions. ETAP 7.0 includes new analysis modules, time-saving capabilities, and powerful online energy management modules integrated to improve the design, analysis, simulation, prediction, optimization, automation, and control of industrial power systems.

Many of the improvements seen in ETAP 7.0 were based on user suggestions and feedback, such as significant upgrades to templates and arc flash analysis. Users are able to create and utilize an unlimited number of one-line diagram templates faster and easier. The product’s newly enhanced arc flash analysis features allow users to quickly identify and analyze multiple high risk arc flash and shock hazard areas in their electrical system. ETAP 7.0 users can create professional reports and arc flash labels quickly and easily. The new arc flash result analyzer saves time by enabling users to analyze multiple reports from the same directory on one screen.

ETAP 7.0 also provides innovative new tools like Load Analyzer and Switching Management, while also enhancing its proven simulation modules and ETAP Real-time. For an in-depth description of all the upgrades to ETAP 7.0, download the New Feature brochure at www.etap.com/downloads/ETAP_70_Brochure.pdf.

ETAP continues to hold true to its commitment to act according to industry standards by complying with: IEEE 1584a-2004, NEC 110.6, NESC, NFPA 70E-2009, OSHA 29 CFR 1940, ASTM D 120-02a, as well as CSA Z462 2008.

“Given our stringent quality assurance policy, the ETAP 7.0 release has gone through an extensive verification and validation process which took more than nine months,” says Nazan Roshdieh, Vice President of Quality Assurance. “We are extremely pleased to release this latest version of ETAP Enterprise Solution to the market.”

ETAP 7.0 is now available for download and demo at: www.etap.ca/demo.htm

ETAP Canada will be holding power system engineering training sessions in Edmonton, August 19-21, and Toronto, September 23-25. ETAP users will learn how to best utilize the new capabilities and features of ETAP 7.0. Read more about this ETAP training session at: www.etap.ca/training.htm
