US Actors VIP: Actress Mel Heflin

PHOENIX, Arizona - September 30, 2026 - Mel Heflin has spent more than a decade as one of East Coast independent horror's most booked faces. Public lists put her past 130 acting credits, with producer, camera, writer, and stunt work stacked on top. USActors.com has added a VIP profile for the Winchester, Virginia, actress and model. USActors.com allows actors to list their profiles at no charge. Casting directors who search the directory nationwide can now find a performer who shows up, does the day, and often stays to produce.

Heflin was born and raised in Winchester. She modeled from 13-catalog and teen runway-and stepped into features at 19 with Scarlet Rain. The work never really stopped. She has played named parts in Carlos Dunn's Katherine (Sandra Jenkins), the short The Figure (Laurie), Palm Down (Arcadia), Dead Woman's Hollow, Predatory Moon, Bride of the Werewolf, Teacher Shortage, Return to Splatter Farm, Smart House, Zombie Chronicles: Infection Zone, Return of the Corn Zombies, Wereshark, Night of the Dead Sorority Babes, Darbie's Scream House, and the Plan 9 remake. She voices Ophelia Owl on Matthew and Ophelia's Wonderful World of Fun. She has taken pyro work-Johnny Sullivan set her on fire for Family Property II-and 3-D days on Steve: Death Collector.

She also produces (Palm Down, FL Man, Queen Dracula Sucks Again, Once Upon a Killing Time, The House That Zombies Built), shoots camera, writes, and co-hosts the Supernatural Creatures and Lore podcast. Titles still moving include Samedi Gris, Rack 'Em Up, The Trip, and Usher. She stands 5-foot-5. She has been married to Jack Carver since 2011; they have one child. One recorded win sits on the public awards tally. She has said more than 150 projects have passed through her schedule, some still waiting on a release.

A production that needs a working scream-circuit lead who can also produce or operate a camera can pull that range from a single VIP page. The listing is at https://usactors.com/listing/mel-heflin/.

USActors.com is a nationwide directory for productions that have to find talent without treating one city as the whole industry. Actors list profiles at no charge-photos, reels, credits, union status, specs, hometown, travel range, and skills a breakdown names-and those pages stay searchable. Casting directors and filmmakers filter by metro, age, look, and experience, then contact the actor from the listing. A local hire and a job that shoots in several states use the same tool. Named actors may be added as VIP profiles so a longer career is easier to find. The site does not represent talent, hold exclusives, or take a commission. It is a casting instrument: free for the performer to remain listed, open for filmmakers anywhere in the United States to use. https://usactors.com
