Eddie Deezen Goes VIP on US Actors
PHOENIX, Arizona - September 29, 2026 - Eddie Deezen gave American comedy a voice you can still hear in a single line. He was Eugene in Grease and Grease 2, Herbie in Spielberg's 1941, Malvin in WarGames, and Mandark on Dexter's Laboratory. USActors.com has added a VIP profile for the Cumberland, Maryland, actor and comedian whose work runs from Rydell High to The Polar Express. USActors.com allows actors to list their profiles at no charge. Casting directors who search the directory nationwide can now find that beloved character actor-studio features, cult independents, and a second life in animation-on one page.Edward Harry Deezen was born March 6, 1957, to Irma and Robert Deezen. The family jewelry store in Cumberland was the first business he knew. After high school he headed west to do stand-up, and the parts arrived almost at once. 1978 alone held Froggy in Laserblast, Richard "Ringo" Klaus in Robert Zemeckis's Beatles comedy I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and Eugene Felsnic in Randal Kleiser's Grease. He was one of only seven actors from the original musical to return for Grease 2 (1982). Steven Spielberg put him in the chaotic ensemble of 1941 as Herbie Kazlminsky. Midnight Madness made him Wesley, white-team leader. Zapped! made him Sheldon. John Badham's WarGames made him Malvin, the programmer across the table from Matthew Broderick. Surf II, The Whoopee Boys, Million Dollar Mystery, and Critters 2 kept the comic type in theaters. He also carried features of his own-Beverly Hills Vamp, Mob Boss, Teenage Exorcist-and popped up on Punky Brewster and Magnum, P.I.
Then the voice took over a generation that had never seen Rydell High. He was Mandark, Dexter's rival, through the long run of Cartoon Network's Dexter's Laboratory and the movie Ego Trip. He was Snipes the magpie in Rock-a-Doodle, Ned on Kim Possible, Donnie Dodo in Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird, Charlie in The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, Gibby Norton on What's New, Scooby-Doo?, and seagulls in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Zemeckis hired him again as the Know-It-All Kid in the motion-capture The Polar Express. Commercials included Taco Bell's Nacho the cat. Public filmographies sit near 100 acting credits. He is 5-foot-11 and still talks Beatles trivia the way other people talk weather. Recent titles include Critters: All You Can Eat and Once Upon a Time in Macon.
A production that wants that one-of-a-kind comic energy-live-action or voice-can pull the whole career from a single VIP page instead of assembling it from two different decades of stills. The listing is at https://usactors.com/listing/eddie-deezen/.

US Actors is a nationwide directory for the day a production has to staff a job and cannot assume the right person already sits in one office. Actors list profiles at no charge-photos, reels, credits, union status, look, home market, travel range, and skills a breakdown names-and those pages stay searchable. Casting directors filter by city, state, metro, age, type, and experience, then contact talent from the public page. A one-town hire and a shoot that crosses several states use the same list. Named actors may be added as VIP profiles so a longer career is easier to find. The site does not represent performers, hold exclusives, or take a commission. It is a casting tool: free for the actor to stay listed, open for productions anywhere in the United States to use. https://usactors.com
