Thomas Sing was born in 1979 in Augsburg, Germany. The self-taught photographer first devoted himself to the written word, achieving a M.A. in literature, philosophy and psychology. His passion for semiotics brought him to teach classes at University (from 2007 to 2010), focussing on the aspects of fashion and advertising. During all those years, photography became his creative medium of choice, growing from a first fascination into a second working field.

After appearing in VOGUE Italia (May 2011) in the "New Talent Photo Scouting" section, his photographic career took off. His pictures have been published in fashion and art magazines worldwide. For his projects he travels all over Europe.
