Harrisburg Sisters, Ages 4 and 6, Turn Bedtime Stories Into Published Children's Book Series
United States, 20th May 2026 -- What began as silly bedtime storytelling between two young sisters has officially become a published children's book. Maddie and Charlotte Robinson, ages 6 and 4, are the creators behind The Adventures of Miss Bonkypants: The Rainbow Bounce, a whimsical children's picture book about a magical young unicorn with giant glowing rainbow pants who bounces into adventures while helping others through kindness, courage, and imagination.
The idea for Miss Bonkypants first began nearly three years ago during bedtime stories with their parents, Trevor and Kelly Robinson, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Night after night, the sisters created new adventures, magical powers, funny moments, and colorful characters together before bed.
Over time, the stories continued to evolve. According to the family, the story changed and grew through nearly 50 different versions before eventually becoming the final published book.
Even their youngest brother, Oliver, now 15 months old, became part of the family's creative process through laughter, reactions, and bedtime storytelling moments.
"What makes this so meaningful is that the girls truly built this character and world together over the years," said Trevor Robinson. "Kelly and I simply helped bring their imagination to life."
The debut story follows Miss Bonkypants as she investigates a wobbling rainbow over Giggle Valley and discovers a frightened kangaroo named Kippy stranded high in the clouds. Filled with playful humor, magical adventures, and emotional warmth, the book shares an encouraging message for young readers:

The book combines whimsical storytelling, vibrant illustrations, and read-aloud pacing designed to create meaningful family moments during bedtime and storytime.
The Robinson family hopes the story inspires families to spend more time creating, imagining, and telling stories together.
