Press release from: NorthPointe Resources

Zion, Illinois: NorthPointe Resources in Zion was recently the recipient of a generous gift from Forest & Found, an upscale resale shop in Lake Forest, Illinois. NorthPointe will use this gift to support the vital services that they provide for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness from the Northern Lake County area.
Forest & Found is both a wonderful resource for unique, pre-owned items and a nonprofit organization that supports other local community organizations. Their shop features household items and furniture donated by community members that are ready for a creative reuse, as well as carefully curated clothing. Utilizing the proceeds from their resale store, they provide funds to support the work of local charities including A Safe Place, Bernie's Book Bank, NorthPointe Resources, A Meal to Heal, the Waukegan Public Library, Carmen-Buckner Elementary School and Waukegan College.
Founder Diana Durkes and board members make up a group of professionals from a variety of backgrounds ̶ from corporations to classrooms ̶ working together to benefit the community. Their vision is to create a community marketplace where customers shopping in the store are supporting worthy local charities with their purchases. “Forest & Found has the community at heart,” said board president, Diana Durkes. "We're a local marketplace, and our quality, ‘previously loved’ goods benefit donors, shoppers and the causes in which the community invests.”
Forest & Found is located at 1363 N Western Ave, Lake Forest Illinois. Their phone number is 847-482-1705. Current winter hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00am until 4:00pm. For more information about Forest & Found and the organizations they support, visit www.forestandfound.com.
