1. What is MES?

Manufacturing Execution Systems, also known as MES, is a comprehensive, dynamic software system for monitoring, tracking, recording and controlling the manufacturing process of products from raw materials to finished products. MES provides a functional layer between the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and process control systems, providing decision makers with the data needed to make the plant floor more efficient and optimize production.

MES is mainly used to optimize and manage the whole production process from order placement to product completion, refine and control production, and achieve transparent management in the workshop.

2. What does MES do?

(3) MES can optimize the management of the whole process from work order placement to product completion through information transfer. 3. Main functions of MES?

The functions of MES in clude factory modeling, job planning, job execution, quality control management, JIT material, equipment management, mold management, outsourcing management, exception management, container management, sequence management, site kanban, and payroll management. From the receipt of work orders, production scheduling, progress control, to product completion.

MES can help companies to actively collect and monitor the production data generated in manufacturing, and timely monitor and analyze the adjustments to ensure product quality.

4. The application of MES in enterprises

(1) MES can monitor and control the entire production process from raw materials incoming to products in storage.

This includes recording the data and results of materials, equipment, batch numbers, key pieces, product quality used in the production process, as well as information on production time, personnel, and machine losses in each process. These data are collected and analyzed by the MES system to generate the corresponding Kanban reports, which present the order progress, task progress, capacity analysis, equipment abnormalities, process alarms, and the utilization of people, machines and materials in production in real time. This makes the whole production site completely transparent.

At the same time, MES can accurately transmit real-time production data from the production line to users via the Internet, whether they are the management of the company, the boss at the headquarters, or even the customers abroad. No matter where they are, as long as they are on their cell phones or computers, they can see the status of the production site clearly and know the order progress, product quality control, process traceability and other production conditions at any time.

(2) MES optimizes the management business of manufacturing process through feedback results.

When there is a product quality problem with the user, MES can trace all the production process information of this batch of products according to the product serial number, including its raw material suppliers, operating machines, operators, the processes it went through, production time and date, and key process parameters.Based on this feedback information, we can make timely adjustments and provide better services to our customers in a targeted manner.

At the same time, data from the product production process provides effective support for production management decisions.
