Press release from: Model Engineering Solutions GmbH

Berlin, November 24, 2014: Model Engineering Solutions (MES), the Berlin-based specialist for model-based software development, has significantly expanded its business in Asia. In recent years, MES has built up a network of local partners in Japan, Korea, China, and India in order to benefit from the growing market and increasing interest in model-based development and ISO 26262 in Asia.

Asia: Driving force in the automotive industry

The automotive industry continues its dynamic development in Asia. “Model-based development and standards-compliant development processes are at the focus of vehicle manufacturers in Japan. Just as in the European market, AUTOSAR, functional safety, and ISO26262 are key topics within development departments, autonomous driving and alternative drive systems being the major industry trends behind this”, comments Masaru Hagiwara from BTC Japan. Korea, China, and India are also investing more and more in these areas.

MES continues to expand activities in Asia

Asia is becoming increasingly important for MES as well. For over two years, MES has been represented by BTC Japan in Japan, MDS in Korea, Sogood Technology in China, and DynaFusion in India. The company’s commitment to the region has been further strengthened through MES lectures at conferences and visits to clients. “We are extremely satisfied with our development in Asia and appreciate the extremely high potential of this region. The core elements of our strategy for Asia, which we will continue to expand in 2015, are to maintain competent local partners and encourage direct customer contact with MES engineers”, comments Oliver Collmann, Director of Sales at MES.
