Family Seeks Urgent Support for Beloved Husband Diagnosed with Terminal Lung Cancer

Kingston, WA - A Washington State family is appealing to the public for support as they face a devastating medical crisis. Cheryl Jarrel, a dedicated wife and caregiver, is sharing the story of her husband, Mike Jarrel, a warm and selfless man now battling the final stages of advanced small cell lung cancer.

Mike's health complications began in 2016, when he underwent six major surgeries that culminated in the amputation of his upper leg due to Peripheral Artery Disease. That same year, he was diagnosed with MRSA, a serious bacterial infection that now requires lifelong antibiotic treatment. Despite these challenges, Mike remained resilient and hopeful.

In 2018, the couple relocated to Washington State, seeking a fresh start. While Cheryl was able to secure work and help stabilize their new life, Mike's respiratory symptoms worsened over the years. Initially misdiagnosed as asthma, it wasn't until 2023, after seeking a second medical opinion, that Mike was diagnosed with advanced-stage small cell lung cancer. Doctors have given him an estimated 2 to 6 months to live.

With Cheryl now on unpaid leave to care for her husband full-time, the family is facing overwhelming expenses for medical treatments, basic living needs, end-of-life care, and funeral arrangements.
