Law Manga - Child custody problems explained simply.

The Archangel association (German "Erzengel"), in collaboration with its board member Michael Langhans and the two illustrators Jonah_Prac and Salamaca, has published the comic / manga "Archangel. Your guardian angel. A law manga" was launched. The first four episodes will be published online and free of charge in March 2025 on the association's website www.erzengel.help and at www.lawmanga.de.

"We want modern and easy-to-understand information on custody law," says board member and copywriter Michael Langhans. He continues: "Because fundamental rights are always affected, a mistake often has devastating consequences."

The experienced fully qualified lawyer knows from many proceedings which mistakes are made again and again and that often mere ignorance leads to certain problems.

"Of course, it's not easy to condense complex problems onto a DIN A4 page," says the fully qualified lawyer, "but we have accepted the challenge and are very satisfied so far. At the moment, we're collecting more ideas, because we're nowhere near the end."

At the moment, the comics are limited to one page per topic, which is very important to the association. "Less is more, we want to protect the children and parents above all, which can only be achieved with a simple presentation." However, in order not to remain imprecise, all comics are provided with sources, references and decisions as well as explanations. "Our comics are intended to name the problem and whet the appetite for more knowledge. We also take the position that is often not recognized by courts and legal advisors. Many children do not know what they should and may do."

This is particularly evident in Hesse, which is a federal state that has already enshrined the best interests and will of the child in its constitution. Nevertheless, it happens time and again that guardians ad litem do not contact their "children" for years and are therefore unable to enforce their will.

"We want to ensure that children are better informed and more child-friendly. This will strengthen fundamental and human rights and ultimately make decisions more transparent.

A thematic sorting of the comics for children, parents, lawyers or according to complex issues such as expert opinions, child hearings, child abduction etc. is planned and will then also be available in print.

The first four comics will be published online and free of charge in March. The two episodes "The right to say nothing" and "Surrender without bailiff and order" are already online and further episodes will follow on Saturdays.

The comics will also be published in German and English, with other languages planned depending on interest.
