Goth legend goes solo
[London] - [23/12/2024] - Prepare to have your preconceptions of soundscape art challenged as renowned artist and goth legend Rob Stroud releases his latest electronica album, "Unlocked," on December 31st, 2024, through true blockhouse.
This highly anticipated follow-up to Stroud's 2020 album "Locked" pushes the boundaries of electronica even further with its captivating loops and dystopian production. "Unlocked" is a bold departure from the formulaic song structures that dominate mainstream music.
Rob Stroud is celebrated for his unique approach to music creation. He began his career at the age of 15, experimenting with a Korg MS-10 synthesizer and a reel-to-reel tape recorder. His musical journey has taken him from his early days as the drummer for British gothic punk legends Sex Gang Children to exploring dark Musique concrète with his band Devoid.
Throughout his career, Stroud has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music, working with various synth-focused projects, including Pink and Black, Cosmic 666, and Technoquake. He has also self-released a series of albums titled "Themes," showcasing his spontaneous recording style.
