mobinteg launches smiity platform for smart interactive cities

mobinteg – company that is dedicated to the development of mobile solutions and for the Internet of Things – has just released a new app for smart cities.

The concept smart cities, initially targeting urban infrastructures, gains a new dimension with the smiity platform, allowing a citizen or tourist direct integration, that is individual and directed to the cities of where the user is or that he visits. The user, tourist or visitor, connects with the information he wants wherever he goes.
Available for both iOS and Android operating systems, the SMIITY – Smart Interactive cITY takes standard tour guide consultation to another level, becoming interactive, personalized and immediate, allowing the visitor to receive on his smartphone or tablet a set of contextual or local information exactly when he needs it. During his path, the user will receive notifications of highlights, points of interest, local and contextual information, exclusively related to the current city he is in, and of monuments and/or cultural facilities of entertainment wherever he goes. The platform also aims to have an impact on local and traditional commerce at the exact time the user passes by a commercial area through beacon interaction.
The smiity platform integrates and interacts with beacons - devices that send captured signals by the app, which in turn interprets and presents information regarding that specific point, it can range from wither text and images to any multimedia content.
It is the beacon technology that creates a new dynamic in relation to other platforms, creating cities that communicate and interact with its citizens and tourists. Smiity decodes and interacts with the main standards in the market, Apple iBeacon and Google Eddystone.
The last version of the app can be downloaded at the Apple Store and Google Play; Smartwatch version is also available. In the following weeks new features will be launched.
