An enthralling tale of environmental activism, folklore, and survival on a mythical island off the Atlantic coast.
Gotham Books is proud to announce the release of "Stop the Tsunami ," the English-language version of Padraig Standun's Irish novel, originally published in Gaelic by Clo Iar-Chonnacht in An Spideal, Ireland. Set on the mythical "Western Isle" off the coast of Ireland, "Stop the Tsunami" weaves together environmental themes, family dynamics, and the deep-rooted traditions of a threatened community in a timely and relevant story.

In "Stop the Tsunami ," a couple, Tom and Roisin, find themselves grappling with both the forces of nature and the pressures of modernity. With newfound wealth, rumored to be from a lotto win or labor abroad, they invest in environmental projects aimed at protecting their island from the looming threat of a tsunami. Tom, inspired by folk memories of a devastating wave that once swept away fifteen men, builds a wall on the clifftop to shield the island. Meanwhile, Roisin turns the island's land into a flourishing source of fresh fruits and vegetables, determined to provide for the island's future.

At its heart, the novel reflects on how a family navigates both the challenges of their environment and the complex relationships they share. Tom and Roisin's two children live an idyllic life, close to their grandfather while dealing with their grandmother's declining memory due to dementia, a poignant subplot about a forgotten religious relic that adds a touch of mystery to the narrative. All the while, the looming fear of a catastrophic tsunami threatens to shatter the islanders' way of life as they grapple with questions of survival, faith, and the environment.

Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic's wild beauty, "Stop the Tsunami" offers readers an immersive experience filled with wit, wisdom, and a compelling reflection on contemporary concerns like climate change and ecological preservation. The novel's island community serves as a microcosm of today's fire- and flood-ravaged world, inviting readers to explore the urgency of taking action to protect our fragile planet.

Stop the Tsunami is now available on Kindle [https://amzn.to/3NtcPRK] an in paperback on Amazon [https://amzn.to/3UdabDo] and Barnes & Noble [https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/stop-the-tsunami-p-draig-stand-n/1144938196?ean=9798887757346]. About the Book

On a remote island off the Atlantic coast, a couple's sudden windfall sparks a daring mission to protect their home from an unstoppable force of nature. As freak waves threaten to erase their way of life, Tom builds a towering wall on the cliffs, haunted by memories of a disaster that claimed the lives of fifteen men. Meanwhile, Roisin transforms barren land into a lush sanctuary, providing food for the island's future. But beneath their efforts to save the island, tensions rise. Politics, religion, and the fear of extinction swirl like a coming storm. With their family's fate hanging in the balance and nature closing in, how long can they hold back the tides of destruction?

What they truly want is certainty - the ability to live, work, and plan their future in the United States without expiry dates, renewals, or ongoing fear that a single decision could unravel years of effort. That certainty is called a Green Card. Yet despite its importance, the Green Card [https://larhdellaw.com/] process is often misunderstood. Some believe it is only for

That description, while true, can be misleading. Its familiarity causes many applicants to underestimate how closely these visas are scrutinised - and how easily an application can be refused. In today's immigration environment, visitor visas are assessed with a level of caution that surprises even experienced international travellers. The rules themselves have not dramatically changed, but how
