New Work and the role of digitalization in facility management
Digitalization is the driver behind new working models such as remote work, home office and the idea of New Work, which enable a more flexible and mobile way of working. Digital technologies give employees access to documents and data from anywhere in the world, which not only reduces the amount of space required in the office, but also calls into question the need for physical presence. This flexibility requires facility managers to take a new approach to office design. Process automation and collaboration tools such as video conferencing enable virtual teams to work together seamlessly across borders while remaining efficient.
The FM Power Hour will focus on how facility managers can redefine their office space. While physical presence in offices is declining, the need for collaborative workspaces and smart workplaces designed for flexibility is increasing. Automation as the key to increasing efficiency
Facility management is increasingly characterized by automated processes that enable operating costs to be lowered and space requirements to be reduced at the same time.
