BITS Pilani Rajasthan announces Golden Jubilee Reunion
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Alumni Association(BITSAA) Pilani is all set to welcome Goldies of 1957 Batch during October 23-25, 2007. Close on the heels of 1977-82 Batch Silver Jubilee Celebrations during October 5-7, 2007, the Golden BITSians are coming to Pilani to share their life-time experiences to motivate and inspire the current generation of students and faculty at BITS, Pilani. The alumni of the Institute can be located today from Australia to America.The momentous meet will see the reunion of those who graduated almost 50 years back. In the meantime, BITS Pilani has undergone a sea change in terms of infrastructure, achievements and progress in academics. The add-on landmarks, like famous Saraswati Temple, The Museum, The Library, Modern Lecture Theatre Complex etc. speak volumes about the progressive Campus, which the Goldies will be seeing probably for first time.
BITS, Pilani a deemed to be University since 1964 has made its mark as a top ranking institution both nationally and internationally. The erstwhile colleges of Engineering, Science & Pharmacy and Arts have contributed a lot in building the nation after independence. The Goldies who are going to assemble here have been in top most positions in all walks of life during their prime and some are still active players with the word retirement just not in their dictionary.
According to Prof. R.K. Mittal, President, BITSAA Pilani, the love and affection for the alma mater brings the alumni every year to BITS Campus where they rekindle the life spent at the Campus, share moments and experience the Journey of Life which they began at BITS with the current students and faculty. This reunion is an exciting opportunity both for the Institution's not oldie but goldie graduates as well as for the alumni association and the Alumni will be able to experience the changing face of campus while reconnecting with former classmates.
BITSAA Pilani is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the goldies who bring the maximum PQ Passion Quotient for the alma mater.
