BITSAA International and BITSAA Jaipur announce Global Meet BGM 2023 Kumbh Mela for BITSians

While the ivy league institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, UCLA, Purdue, MIT INSEAD, LSE are well known for their high degree of alumni Alma mater connectivity, some of the high-profile institution examples in India include Birla Institute of Technology and Science - BITS Pilani, ISB, Hyderabad, Banasthali and several IITs. In addition to batch reunions, the Global Meet of alumni provides a powerful vehicle to keep the alumni not only united but also connected with their Alma mater.

What Kumbh Mela is to millions of Indians, the BITSAA Global Meet BGM is to lakhs of BITSians alumni of Institution of Eminence Birla Institute of Technology and Science are - BITS campuses at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, Dubai apart from the seamless Work Integrated Learning Programs. BGM is the largest peaceful congregation of BITSians on earth, during which they unwind and rewind. While millions of devotees reach Kumbh venue without any invitation, BITSians reach the venue after prescribed registration formalities.

If the Kumbh congregation includes ascetics, saints, sadhus, aspirants-kalpavasis and many more, the BGM is a stellar constellation of Chairmen, Managing Directors, COOs, CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, Scientists, Presidents and Vice Presidents, Techies, Entrepreneurs, Media Moghuls, Academicians, Distinguished Professors, Bankers, Realtors, Film stars, Book authors, Startup founders, Standup Comedians, Music Maestros as well as Consultants. BITSians not only from different cities of India but all parts of the world do the pilgrimage to attend the BGM as a Mission with Passion.

Like the Kumbha Mela is held at one location (Haridwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain and Nashik) once in 12 years, it is held at one or another location of the four holy places every 3 years. The very first BITSAA Global Meet BGM was held at Gurgaon - Delhi in 2011, followed by Hyderabad in 2014, Dubai 2017 and Goa 2020. For the year 2023, the organizing team from BITSAA Jaipur have announced that BGM will be held at Jaipur during Jan 6-8.

The idea of establishing BITSAA Jaipur Chapter was conceived in 1995 and was constituted on 04 May 1996. Being a heritage city, Jaipur in the Golden Triangle is a world-famous tourist destination, and it is always on the bucket-list of many across the globe, more so when this event is going to happen after forbidding lockdowns due to the pandemic. Such attractions put together will invite an overwhelming response and the organizing team is expecting a good turnout at BGM'23.

Jaipur has been Royal in all matters including IPL and the organizing team is geared up to make the BGM 2023 at Jaipur truly a Royal one. Let all Proud to be BITSians mark their calendar, save the dates and create a buzz amongst all fellow BITSians, across chapters and batches and urge them to be a part of the upcoming global event.
