Adventist Youth in the South Philippines are Doing More Than Just

"God requires of His people now as great a distinction from the world, in customs, habits, and principles, as He required of Israel anciently. If they faithfully follow the teachings of His word, this distinction will exist; it cannot be otherwise" (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 458).

It is important to recognize that there is a difference between the secular and spiritual worlds, and these two spheres are completely separate. The church is a community of believers who are called to live out their faith in the world. This means that Christians are called to engage with the world around them and to be a positive influence in their communities in a way that reflects the grace and truth of Christ. At the same time, however, Christians are also called to be set apart from the world and to live according to the values and principles of their faith, and not be seduced or tempted by our corrupt society.

Unfortunately, many of our own people will adopt worldly methods and practices because they are being influenced by our broken culture. Sometimes this is done to attract new members or students to our intuitions. In an attempt to look and sound relevant, many of our churches and schools will use popular music and techniques that are more reflective of the outside world than the standards that should exist in the church.

One of the main activities associated with the Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders is drill marching. In a video that was published, you will see students from different Adventist academies in the Southern Philippines during the Annual Tactical Inspection taken during the month of March 2023. However, you will notice that the modern youth marching in many Pathfinder events now incorporate elements from dance schools and group dance competitions.

When you look at the video, they are not just marching. They are performing together in complex choreographed dance-style routines. Is the Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders department becoming an organization to showcase dancing techniques? And is this really instilling discipline in our youth to prepare them for the Latter Rain during the Loud Cry? Or is it preparing them for this world's sinful attractions and temporal, earthly pleasures?

Parents need to critically examine if these kinds of church-sponsored events are consistent with our Christian values, morals, and standards. Or do these activities more closely resemble what takes place in the world's entertainment venues? Yes, there is a time for prayer, but there is also a time to act and protect God's gift to us, our children.

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful. While we will be given lectures about returning our tithes and offerings-as outlined in the proposed 2025 Church Manual agenda-we must ask ourselves: is this truly the burning concern on the hearts of God's remnant people at this critical hour in history? The

While walking down the hallway at the America's Center Convention Complex-the site of the 62nd General Conference Session-I saw Ganoune Diop approaching. Knowing how busy church leaders are during these sessions, I asked if he had time to answer just one question. He stopped to look at me, and I asked him directly, "Why don't you preach the Three Angels' Messages? Why do you only preach Jesus?" As he began

The main issue centered on the General agenda, which allows for multiple items to be introduced. It was during

Ghostface Horror Character in an Adventist Pulpit
Galatians 5:9 states unequivocally, "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump," a warning against permitting even minor instances of biblical compromise. In other words, if small negative influences are allowed to spread, they will eventually corrupt an entire movement. On March 17, 2024, Brother Fabio posted a video with the following caption in the Seventh-day Adventist News outlet Baluarte: "This dramatic scene that we are seeing occurred in an Adventist church located
Adventist Health Portland Honors Pride Month
Pride Month has become an international freak show that takes place in June and comes complete with nudity, debauchery, bondage, and sexual decadence-all aimed toward children. Homosexual activists, trans militants, and drag queens openly flaunt their sin, promote it brazenly, and parade it proudly down the main streets of society. Truly, during pride month, the revelers "parade their sin like S@dom." "The look of their faces testify against them. They

Bringing Disrepute to the Seventh-day Adventist Name
Ellen White talks about a class who bring "the name of Seventh-day Adventists into disrepute" (Testimonies, Vol. 2, p. 533). This is used to describe people who do things that harm or defame the Seventh-day Adventist name. It refers to acting in a way that is viewed as inappropriate or contrary to the standards of the name they are supposed to uphold. There are behaviors that ought to cause us
Penang Adventist Hospital Wishes you a Happy Deepavali
The celebration of Deepavali is associated with Lord Krishna, a major Hindu god. During the Deepavali festival, which usually lasts about 5 days, worshipers commemorate Lord Krishna’s victory over the cruel demon known as Narakasura. It is said that this demon oppressed the people until the people prayed to Krishna, who responded by killing Narakasura during a battle. Therefore, Deepavali commemorates Krishna defeating Narakasura. Now we have Penang Adventist Hospital,
