Press release from: Advent Messenger

Tain TV is a live streaming news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle program located in Nsawkaw, Ghana. They recently released a video showing Seventh-day Adventist Academy students performing a public dance show that served as a type of fundraising event. This event was put on by Adventist Preparatory School, which is also in Nsawkaw, and featured dancing by its students that at times could easily be described as sensual, provocative, and suggestive.

What was even more disturbing is that the adults aggravated this situation by throwing money at the children as they danced. The more intensely the students danced, the more money they generated. In the video, you can see money being thrown either as gifts, donations, or tips. These "money showers" are typically celebratory gestures designed to show enthusiasm, support, and admiration for the performers. The style of music, the dancing moves, and the tossing of money are reminiscent of what takes place in many adult entertainment venues in our world.

Has this become the new fundraising method in Adventism? Is this how we are going to raise funds to advance the mission of the church? Is this how God is now funding the closing work, through tips and money showers during worldly dancing? And most importantly, what are we teaching these children-how to make fast money? What are we preparing them for-a future career that involves dancing for tips?

The Church in Ghana must distance itself from these kinds of representations. They must distance themselves from any pastor or school director who works for them and refuses to uphold a higher standard of righteousness and truth. This is a prime example of what happens whenever we depart from the clear teachings of God by transforming educational institutions into venues for worldly entertainment.

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful. While we will be given lectures about returning our tithes and offerings-as outlined in the proposed 2025 Church Manual agenda-we must ask ourselves: is this truly the burning concern on the hearts of God's remnant people at this critical hour in history? The

While walking down the hallway at the America's Center Convention Complex-the site of the 62nd General Conference Session-I saw Ganoune Diop approaching. Knowing how busy church leaders are during these sessions, I asked if he had time to answer just one question. He stopped to look at me, and I asked him directly, "Why don't you preach the Three Angels' Messages? Why do you only preach Jesus?" As he began

As the day began, it was clear that the opening session would be marked by intense debate and contention. Everyone who attended the morning press conference orientation was informed that three agendas were going to be approved on this day: the Church Manual agenda, the Constitutional agenda, and the General agenda. The main issue centered on the General agenda, which allows for multiple items to be introduced. It was during
