Champions League player as digital football coach

Robert Andrich from Bayer 04 Leverkusen is now working as a digital coach for the football start-up Coachinho, setting young football players in motion with crisp training exercises and, soon, exciting smartphone games.

Training with a real Champions League player without leaving home? Sounds too good to be true, but that's exactly what Coachinho promises with its innovative concept. The young kickers of Generation Z want fun and excitement in training and in everyday life, but often find such opportunities neither in the club nor on their smartphones. The consequences are boredom and the well-known "messing around". That's why founders Dennis Eck and Max Knorreck launched the digital football academy in 2021, so that all children and young people - with or without professional ambitions - can train together with their idols and learn from them.
The fact that this idea meets open ears is shown by the professional players of the football world who have been won over in the recent past, such as Hamburger SV Goalgetter Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer or Bundesliga top referee Tobias Stieler, who talks in his masterclass about a healthy way to deal with negative thoughts before important games.
"Being able to convince such a top athlete as Robert Andrich of our idea shows how important the promotion of young talent is in Germany, even to the professionals," says founder Dennis Eck. So Team Coachinho met with the Leverkusen midfielder for two days to shoot training tips, workouts and entertaining challenges.
After the pleasant collaboration, the start-up is now full of anticipation for the coming weeks and months. Of course, other pros from various top leagues are already standing on the sidelines, waiting for their turn. However, the two founders do not yet want to reveal exactly who they are. There will also be some changes in terms of product diversity in the near future. Coachinho will soon be launched as an educational game app in which children and young people can actively play games as part of a team, complete workouts and master challenges in order to lead their team to success. Gamified training plans with game elements embedded in exciting stories - a promising approach that gives hope for more fun, excitement and motivation in training and in the everyday life of Generation Z.
