Coachinho.tv revolutionizes soccer training and receives investment
From amateur to professional soccer player - that is the simple concept of the Germany-based startup Coachinho.tv. With the help of professional coaches and soccer pros, amateur soccer players receive deep knowledge in the form of online courses in a digital soccer academy. The two founders, Dennis Eck and Max Knorreck, spent months preparing the company for market launch. Now their stamina has paid off - the startup receives its first investment. The football table is ready in the lounge, Manchester United and Real Madrid are facing each other - at least virtually - on the game console, and only the attentive listeners can hear the line "Ya ataca mi Madrid!" ringing in their ears. In the premises of DIGITALHUB.DE, a support project for digital startups in Germany, all signs are pointing to soccer these days. Because: a startup from its program has taken an enormously important step for young companies - the first investment in the so-called seed phase.
"Ya ataca mi Madrid!" translates as "Already it attacks, my Madrid!" and comes from the soccer anthem of the Spanish record champion and the favorite club of founder Dennis Eck. "Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to make it to Real," he says with a laugh, recounting his own experiences that led him to found Coachinho.tv. He states that only a small number of the many talented players have a chance of being accepted into a professional club's junior training center. In order to climb the career ladder of a professional, many children and young people are left with only the path to expensive private training or the bitter realization of burying their dreams, says Eck.
Expansion into other markets and specialization in artificial intelligence
At the same time, it is a matter close to Coachinho.tv's heart to provide opportunities for professional training to those children and young people who are otherwise not offered any opportunities at all. "Especially when you look around in other regions of the world, for example in Africa, Asia or South America, you see incredible talent that will never make it to a professional club due to a lack of training opportunities," says co-founder Max Knorreck. With the help of the investment, the founders want to expand the range of courses offered by Coachinho.tv, especially in the areas of technical, tactical and athletic training as well as personality development, and give as many young players as possible the opportunity to train and develop their soccer skills. The founders' long-term vision sounds both exciting and ambitious: "What would it be like to be trained directly by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Jürgen Klopp - or even better: by all of them at the same time using artificial intelligence," says Eck, describing the company vision for which the two founders have now set the ball rolling.
