Top Ranking Pilani Rajasthan School JMA Celebrates Lord Krishna Birthday Janmashtami 2022

While every school in India today has many celebrations during the year, one which invariably stands top ranking in the heart and soul of all is Janmashtami. Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy - JMA was established in the year 2004 at Pilani which is considered as Oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan. It is a matter of great pride that JMA alumni are presently pursuing higher education in various institutions which include BITS Pilani and NAAC A++ Banasthali Vidyapith ranked among top Women universities in the world. Janmashtami also known as Gokulashtami marks the celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna considered as one of the greatest teachers of humanity whose very name ignites the spark of the divine power in everyone. The enthusiasm of the children ensured that the Goverdhan Giridhari birthday was observed with religious fervor and gaiety

City Centre Pilani on 18 Aug 2022 saw 135 children dressed up as Krishnas and Radhas converging to JMA Pilani in different modes of transport including the shoulders of loving mothers and fathers to usher in the Janmashtami celebrations. This year theme was GOKUL to highlight the place where Lord Krishna had spent his childhood. With mellifluous flute music, colorfully dressed village folk, women walking with matkas, men working in farms, gopis busy churning butter, kids going round and round, a colourful swing with gopis waiting for Krishna, Gokul was truly recreated in the school premises.

JMA Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan congratulated all students, teachers and staff for making the celebrations truly an unforgettable one. When the celebrations ended with distribution of Prasad, the students and parents of JMA left with beaming faces and pride that they were indeed part of an institution which is a shining jewel in the crown among the schools at Pilani. It goes without saying that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Janmashtami celebrations at JMA is going to be the talk of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan in coming times.
