GUIdancer 6.1 and Jubula 1.3 released
The latest versions of the automated testing tools GUIdancer and Jubula are available for download, BREDEX GmbH announced today. Version 6.1 of GUIdancer allows the testing of .NET applications alongside the previously supported Swing, SWT/RCP/GEF and HTML toolkits. The new version lets teams working with .NET applications use GUIdancer’s innovative and effective test specification method to automate their GUI tests. BREDEX also announced the parallel release of Jubula, the Eclipse Open Source project that forms the basis of GUIdancer.“It’s a great pleasure to be able to add support for .NET applications to the range of toolkits supported by GUIdancer.” said Achim Lörke, Project Lead for GUIdancer and Jubula. “As with our Swing, SWT/RCP/GEF and HTML toolkits, the same powerful and effective concepts apply to writing tests for .NET applications, to ensure that automated tests stand the test of time and can be written without any programming knowledge. The new release marks an attractive new option for teams testing desktop applications.”
Alongside GUIdancer, BREDEX has also released version 1.3 of the Open Source test tool Jubula. The new version of Jubula contains various additions to make working with the tool easier, including performance improvements, more comfort when working with large Test Case libraries, and the option to specify a default database connection and project to load when starting the tool. Support for Frames and IFrames has been added to the supported HTML components, and the HTML toolkit has also been updated to support the most recent browser versions. As Jubula forms the core components of GUIdancer, these new features are available in both tools.
Jubula is available for download via the Eclipse Project Page at http://www.eclipse.org/jubula/download.php. GUIdancer can be downloaded from the BREDEX website at www.guidancer.com. New customers who wish to try the .NET support can download a trial license or arrange an introductory session to the new toolkit. BREDEX offers professional support, training and consulting for both tools. Further information is available on the BREDEX website.
