Unified GUIdancer and Jubula standalones released

08-26-2013 05:39 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Bredex GmbH

The standalone versions of the automated GUI Testing Tools GUIdancer and Jubula have been jointly released as version 7.1. Both tools are now identical in terms of features, allowing all users access to features that were previously only in the commercial version, including test reporting, code coverage and support for the following toolkits: Swing, SWT/RCP/GEF, HTML, .NET and iOS. To coincide with the release, BREDEX GmbH has announced a new Testing Resources Portal at http://testing.bredex.de, which provides a central location for information and services for both communities.

“Uniting the features in the standalone versions also allows us to unite our communities of users” said Andreas Vogel, Managing Director. “The idea behind the Testing Resources Portal is to offer a central location for everyone – a place for information on both tools, for examples and articles, FAQs, software downloads, and a clear overview of the services BREDEX offers to help teams with their testing.”

The GUIdancer and Jubula standalones are both available from the BREDEX Testing Resources Portal. Jubula can be downloaded by any registered user; GUIdancer is accessible after purchasing a support package. Jubula is also available as a feature that can be installed into an Eclipse installation, or pre-packaged as Eclipse for Testers. The release of version 7.1 coincides with the Eclipse Kepler release, which also includes Jubula.

Since 1987, BREDEX GmbH has been providing high quality information technology services in the areas of consultancy, analysis and design, software development, quality assurance and training. Based in Braunschweig, the company has a history of long term customer satisfaction and a focus on forward thinking, developing individual solutions that bring future standards to current project needs. BREDEX is a strategic member of the Eclipse Foundation and is the company behind the Eclipse Jubula Project, a powerful and cost effective automated test tool. BREDEX also offers Jubula and its counterpart GUIdancer as standalone versions with a complete feature set and added value and comfort for testers and test managers.
