LOVE BLOOMS on Valentine’s Day!

St. Croix, USVI Feb 14, 2021: The seed of a Love Legacy idea planted almost 10 years ago to help others, all in the name of love, finally comes to life. Following the turbulent and painful 2020, the vision to spread the powerful message of love is the beginning of a new hope and healing. What better than the day of love, Valentine's Day, to open the gates of http://www.thelovinggarden.com/. And most recently TLG has added elements specific to the loss of loved ones from Covid-19.

Anyone who has lost a loved one(s) can plant a flower seed in the virtual garden to honor them, for any donation amount. Or just plant a flower seed of love at no cost in these challenging times and anchor love in their own lives. Donations to plant a flower seed of love will ‘bloom’ to help and support ‘Flower of Love Recipients’ in the numerous sectors listed on the website.

Ms. Freed calls this process the Cycle of Love where “Our Love Blooms On...”.

“I have walked, crawled and fallen many times on the road of deep, painful storylines all of us face at one time or another in our lifetimes.” says [Lori Freed], Founder, The Loving Garden Inc. who is an End of Life guide and hospice volunteer. “The shattered heart moments of grief from losing so many including my son, my mother (from Covid-19), my father, grandparents, dear friends and yes, even myself at times...there must be more purpose to the pain. The purpose I had come to know was that I forgot the power of Love that I lost sight of so many times along the way. The true calling in my life that kept calling me back and the pain of 2020 also created something stronger than the pain, Love- as I returned to my love legacy I left behind years before. I turned my tears of grief into a greater purpose and power and built The Loving Garden for all in honor of Love. The very love we feel we lost now lives on, or ‘blooms on’ as I call it…”

From a thought planted in my heart a decade ago while immersed in a deep grief due to the impending loss of my son while still in utero from a genetic disorder, Trisomy 13, that was not compatible with life…a thought said to me “There is more purpose in this impending heartbreak of loss, there must be.” And it came to my heart that I always bought myself flowers when I needed a little love.

“YES! Love! Flowers! Grow Love and hang on to Love for dear life!” at the same time the tsunami of grief was doing it’s best to take me down. This journey with my son Elijah is the biggest test of Love I have ever experienced and it is that Love that will get us through and will be shared with others that the true power of what Love can get us all through.

Hence, The Loving Garden was created in September of 2011 and Elijah passed away November 20, 2011.
