Passion Peaking BITS Pilani Alumni 74-79 Batch Zoom on Gala Global Reunion
The programme included professional & personal introductions by each of the 80 batchmates, entertainment, felicitation of recent Indian Padma Shri Award winner from the batch Dr S P Kothari who is also a distinguished alumnus of BITS Pilani from this batch and "Discussion on Batch's possible contribution to BITS in future". BR Natarajan aka Dean Nattu suggested that the batch form a trust to carryout various welfare activities of significance to the Alma mater as well as nation at large.
The Reunion was led by Dr Kanak Madrecha (Proud To Be BITSian/74-79/BE(Mech. Engg.) who earlier contributed INR half a million to BITS Pilani in last Ruby Reunion of the Batch in 2019. He is Global Ambassador (Health, Happiness, Peace, Prosperity (H2P2) & STRATandGO Software).
CM Ramesh sang the immortal song Kisi ki muskurahaton pe ho nisar ... Jeena isi ka naam hai from Raj Kapoor film Anari sung by Mukesh and mesmerized the batch mates. Namdev Kharkane sang the Hemant Kumar sung song Bekarar karke hamein yun na jaaiye Aapko hamaari kasam laut aaiye from the film Bees Saal Baad and truly elevated the spirits of all batch mates.
Dr Kanak Madrecha was supported in the organization of the Reunion by many batchmates including Sumit Chordia & Akhilesh Jain. The attendees were happy to meet many batchmates from different parts of the world first time after few decades without any international /domestic air travel. The batch is planning for "Next Global Virtual Reunion" soon with 200+ attendance. This helps to build strong bonds between the classmates within the batch.
