Seventh-day Adventists are now in the Reforestation Business

At a time when the greatest social and political crisis is engulfing our world, we would think that our people would see the urgency of proclaiming the last message of mercy to our dying world. Instead, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Dominican Republic has developed a new reforestation plan called “I Care, Planting Hope.” This new effort is not about sowing the seeds of the gospel, but about planting 500 trees to save the environment.

El Nuevo Diario, one of the most important newspapers in the Dominican Republic, published a report on November 15, 2020 saying that the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in collaboration with government officials, had started a “campaign of reforestation.” [1] Seventh-day Adventist pastor Edward Marmolejos led the effort to plant 500 trees and clean the banks of the Cachón River. Pastor Edward Marmolejos expressed his reasons for dedicating himself to environmentalism:

“We feel committed because we are all the environment, planting a tree we sow life.” [1]

When biblical faith ceases to be the path to salvation, we will surely abandon 176 years of historic Adventism and embrace pantheistic spiritualism. We are NOT all “the environment.” Where does the Bible teach this? These ideas come from the pantheistic teaching of Rome found in Laudato Si’. This is the climate religion that is replacing our long-standing historic mission and message.

The newspaper also claimed that Adventists were not only improving the quality of human life, but also that of nature. The article concludes by explaining that the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as a religious organization, is dedicated “not only to imparting hope of eternal life for salvation, it also promotes and supports activities directed for the good of communities and the environment.” [1]

The church is not an NGO. An NGO is defined by the United Nations as a non-governmental organization whose purpose is to work on social and environmental issues. It is the Vatican and the United Nations who have declared a climate emergency. They are the ones who are pushing the radical climate agenda. Those are the imperatives of Rome, not ours. Our missionaries, ministries and churches are not supposed to provide tree-planting services for Rome.

Our institutions are supposed to be evangelistic in nature. They are supposed to be dedicated to proclaiming the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ in the context of the Three Angels’ Message. Sadly, the church is being reduced to an NGO and we are now fulfilling new duties for Mother Earth. Instead of pastors, we now have social workers promoting the green climate change gospel. They have replaced biblical evangelism with reforestation. Unbelievable!

No true believer in the Three Angels’ Message can evade our supreme duty:

“Your voice is working against the success and triumph of the truth in these last days. Our God has a message for His people represented by an angel flying through heaven proclaiming the last message to a fallen world. What is the angel proclaiming? The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This represents that God’s messengers are to hold this banner high, and with no feeble voice proclaim to a perishing world the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus … You are leading away from the very work to be done. You are presenting obstructions by diverting workers and means in a direction that God has never appointed” (Manuscript Release, vol. 4, pp. 432, 433).

In this case, Ellen White was warning Dr. Kellogg not to replace our mission with social work. Read the entire statement and you will see that Dr. Kellogg was trying to model our institutions after the churches of his day. Sounds familiar? Unfortunately, Dr. Kellogg refused to listen and eventually began to introduce the Alpha of Apostasy (pantheism) into Adventism.

The new religious mysticism of this generation is the climate change movement. Nature is the new faith and Mother Earth is the new object of reverence. Everyone is on board: Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, animists, pantheists and even Seventh-day Adventists. Welcome to the Omega of Apostasy.

To understand what is really happening, we must look no further than Rome and the United Nations. They are the architects who are pushing for earth worship, green Sunday laws and a one-world ecumenical religion that embraces everyone into one big happy family. Green earth activists have been fighting for laws that give the planet (Mother Earth) the same rights as humans, if not more. And is it just a coincidence that the green Sunday laws are also being agitated?

The never-ending struggle for ecological justice is starting to replace the preaching of the Three Angels’ Message. Instead of preparing people for the coming of Christ so they can be ready that day, we are busy trying to create the perfect environmental utopian society for the coming New World Order.

“Our people need to be silent upon questions which have no relation to the third angel’s message” (Selected Message, Book 2, p. 336).

Ellen G. White's Warning and Its Fulfillment in Worldly Adventist Academies
On December 16, 2025, the Seventh-day Adventist Academy in Pulierranghy, India, held a Christmas program that featured numerous Santa Clauses, played by students and faculty. [1] The students jumped, shouted, and danced to loud music, while the staff on stage moved in a manner reminiscent of pure paganism. Ellen G. White issued one of her most solemn end-time warnings-one that speaks to many of our institutions. Referring to a bedlam of

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, Giovanni Caccamo, a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, publicly embraced Roman Catholic Bishop Antonio Napolioni during an ecumenical worship service commemorating the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The gesture symbolized a visible unity between the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Roman Catholic Church in Italy within a formal ecumenical setting. Giovanni Caccamo is the same Adventist pastor who previously signed the Ecumenical Charter-a document affirming faith

Pope Leo XIV to Ecumenical Leaders: "We Are One, Let's Make It Visible"
Ecumenism is indeed fulfilling prophecy-but not the prophecy God calls His people to advance or embrace. The world is being drawn into a single religious and political body, as revealed by Scripture: "And all the world wondered after the beast" (Revelation 13:3). This is not a revival of godliness; it is universal apostasy-a global movement that, under the appearance of unity, peace, and love, is leading people away from Bible

What is now evident is that the initiative to establish Sunday as a uniform day of rest is much further along than initially thought. The president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, has already actively participated in formal public policy discussions related to the document "Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years" with members of the U.S. Congress and the Trump administration. Ghostface Horror Character in an Adventist Pulpit
Galatians 5:9 states unequivocally, "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump," a warning against permitting even minor instances of biblical compromise. In other words, if small negative influences are allowed to spread, they will eventually corrupt an entire movement. On March 17, 2024, Brother Fabio posted a video with the following caption in the Seventh-day Adventist News outlet Baluarte: "This dramatic scene that we are seeing occurred in an Adventist church located

Pride Month has become an international freak show that takes place in June and comes complete with nudity, debauchery, bondage, and sexual decadence-all aimed toward children. Bringing Disrepute to the Seventh-day Adventist Name
Ellen White talks about a class who bring "the name of Seventh-day Adventists into disrepute" (Testimonies, Vol. 2, p. 533). This is used to describe people who do things that harm or defame the Seventh-day Adventist name. It refers to acting in a way that is viewed as inappropriate or contrary to the standards of the name they are supposed to uphold. There are behaviors that ought to cause us
Penang Adventist Hospital Wishes you a Happy Deepavali
The celebration of Deepavali is associated with Lord Krishna, a major Hindu god. During the Deepavali festival, which usually lasts about 5 days, worshipers commemorate Lord Krishna’s victory over the cruel demon known as Narakasura. It is said that this demon oppressed the people until the people prayed to Krishna, who responded by killing Narakasura during a battle. Therefore, Deepavali commemorates Krishna defeating Narakasura. Now we have Penang Adventist Hospital,
