Press release from: Punch Kettlebell Gym Dover

March 9, 2011, Dover, DE Americans have been brain washed by everyday TV, magazines, and media. Everywhere you look the word “fast” is associated with weight loss and unfortunately the result has been a culture that wants instant gratification without putting in the work.

It is because of this that 90 percent of people who attempt to lose weight and get in shape will give up and quit after the first 30 days, because they don’t see the drastic results they have been programmed to believe is reality.

Local fitness pro Chris Gray says after 13 years his biggest challenge, hands down, is convincing clients that scale weight means nothing except in their own mind! On a daily basis I have to remind clients that when you step on that scale, the number you see is relative and therefore not an accurate measure of results, explains Gray.

The key to getting the weight off and keeping it off is a safe slow loss in body fat as you gain new lean body mass to stimulate metabolism and give you that “tone” everyone wants.

The average safe weight loss, if you have committed yourself to a complete fitness program, is 1-2 pounds per week, now simply do the math based on how much weight you would like to lose and you will have an honest look at how long it will take you to reach your goals.

It’s the people who want a quick weight loss, taking shortcuts, using fad diet programs or diet pills, that lose all that weight very quickly then before they know it gain it all back!

Its those who dedicate themselves to a lifestyle change and those who are willing to put in the hard work and long term commitment that will succeed every time and enjoy their new body for the rest of their lives.

It’s when you completely eliminate the numbers game from your thoughts and goals focusing on what steps you are taking each day to change your life that you will finally achieve your goals. Until that day...you will struggle to find your way.
