Press release from: Nash technologies

Nuremberg/Germany 29. October 2010. Nash Technologies GmbH’s membership to the GCF has been fully approved on October 15, 2010. Nash Technologies GmbH (www.nashtech.com) will join the independent industry forum as an observer member.

Resulting from changes in the regulatory environment in Europe, GCF (www.globalcertificationForum.org) was founded in 1999 to give operators confidence in the interworking of new mobile devices at a time of rapid technological development and market growth. GCF Certification helps ensuring that mobile devices work effectively on mobile networks anywhere in the world. Through its focus on the interoperability of mobile devices and networks, the voluntary GCF Certification scheme complements regulatory type-approval regimes. GCF Certification is supported by the world's leading network operators, device manufacturers and other stakeholders such as test system suppliers and test houses.

“Becoming a Member of GCF is essential to us, because this will provide us an early handle on future testing needs and thus allows us to adapt our wireless testing services in a timely manner when new demands arise,” says Bernd Scharbert, Senior Account Manager Testing Services at Nash Technologies, “This is applicable to our 2G, 3G and 4G technologies wireless test offering to customers from the device manufacturer and operator communities”

Clients will benefit from Nash Technologies’ GCF Observer Membership, since it enables Nash Technologies to influence global best practices for conformance, interoperability and field testing. Through its membership Nash Technologies has the ability to participate in the selection of new tests that might become relevant for certification criteria.
