Press release from: Nash technologies

Nuremberg, Germany (January 13, 2011) – Nash Technologies, a key European R&D service provider, has a long track record in the development of test tools for telecoms sector included but not limited to wireless communication, e.g. RRH test equipment. For the realization of its highly customized test equipment, Nash Technologies utilizes Texas Instruments’ digital signal processing (DSP) technology and is very confident that TI’s new innovative TMS320C66x family of multicore DSPs will enable Nash to more flexibly deliver test tools to the market place that address the increasing complexity of customer requirements.

In its test equipment Nash Technologies exploits to a great extend the features and interfaces, e.g. the high performance CPRI/OBSAI interface, that TI’s DSP platform offers to developers, and enjoys the benefits of a free programmable DSP core relative to dedicated hardware solution for its designs with respect to customization and time-to-market. The enhanced processing power of TI’s C66x-based System-on-Chips (SoCs) will help Nash Technologies’ system designers build more efficient high-performance systems with reduced lead time.

“Ease of adaptation of existing test solutions to new customer requirements is a significant advantage to us in particular in the rapid realization of proof-of-concept studies,” said Bruno Ludwig, program manager, Nash Technologies. ”As a member of the TI Third Party Network direct information exchange with the DSP experts at TI helps us to address the challenges we are facing. The close collaboration between TI and Nash Technologies also benefits customers for whom we conduct software development projects based on TI DSP platforms.”

“As a professional supplier of software solution, test systems and integration services, our customers value the feature-rich solutions that Nash Technologies brings to market based on TI’s DSPs and SoCs,” said Sandeep Kumar, product line marketing, growth markets & medical, Texas Instruments. “Nash’s expertise in the development of critical and highly available systems, combined with their consulting and test capabilities, is well suited to meet our customers’ requirements.”
