Press release from: Compumatica secure networks

Compumatica secure networks informs at the CeBIT 2010 in Hanover about new features of the firewalls CompuWall and CryptoWall.

The use of the World Wide Web has become inherent part of today’s information and communication society and especially the working world is not imaginable anymore without internet. At the same time the risks increase that one is exposed to during the transmission of data via unsecured paths. CompuWall, the application level firewall by Compumatica offers a high secure and comfortable solution for the protection of sensitive data. By means of the physical separation of two networks from each other CompuWall ensures optimal protection at a high performance.

Since the CompuWall is not limited to a certain number of users it is perfectly suited for both protection of the IT infrastructure of medium and large organizations. For the handling via the management interface no detailed previous knowledge about network security is required. The graphical user interface of the CompuWall is intuitively operable. Misconfiguration is practically completely avoided by means of the principle “Everything that is not explicitly allowed is forbidden.”. The current version of the CompuWall includes a new URL filter solution by means of which the access to undesired websites may be controlled via URL (black) lists.

The CompuWall is exactly adapted by Compumatica to the desires and requirements of the customers. As special highlight the CompuWall offers for example the option of a secure user authentication via mobile. Other features may as well be developed on demand. Due to the partnership of Compumatica with Kaspersky, market leader in the field of security software, the CompuWall has recently also been implemented in the Kaspersky anti-virus technology.

Besides the CompuWall Compumatica offers CryptoWall, a three-step firewall that combines the established encryption boxes of the CryptoGuard VPN series with CryptoBastion. Thus, internal networks are protected against external as well as internal attacks corresponding to the security rules of organizations. The user number is also not limited.
