Intelligent components for automation engineering: DRAGO Messtechnik at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009

From 24th to 26th November DRAGO Messtechnik, which manufactures and supplies high precision signal converters, will be presenting its extensive range of products and services in the field of interface and automation engineering. In hall 6, stand 414 the company will be informing customers as to how they can operate their plants and machinery more economically, safely and reliably by using top quality transducers.

The factors that count here are endurable components with little wear and measuring devices that continuously supply exact measurement results throughout the service life. Another aspect is the expenses for maintaining reserve inventory and storing same and the time required for installing, maintaining and extending plants.

In order to meet all these requirements, the company has developed special switching techniques for transducers, which largely eliminate the aging process of components. Additional protective components ensure a long service life and safe plant operation even in tough industrial environments and with critical loads. The standardised device concept and the universal measuring range shifting enable the user to make fast changes and provide global availability. The simple technology for installing, maintaining and extending plants fast and easily reduces the costs for maintaining a reserve inventory and storage for the operator.

“We want our customers to be able to work more economically” is how Managing Director Markus Kopetzki expresses it. “Even in the case of our standard queries, our customers receive comprehensive advice regarding potential ways to optimise the plant. We have a competent team of technicians to find solutions for the more specialised requirements in measuring engineering - for the benefit of the customer: with costs and performance in mind.”

Based on its years of technical experience and skills, after advising the customer in great detail, DRAGO configures all devices such as signal converters, isolation amplifiers, measuring transducers by means of special technologies and circuitry. The devices and configured and tailored to the specific needs of the customer so that when the plant is in operation there is a significant rise in performance: Plants can be operated more efficiently; they are safer and work more reliably.

Maki Umehara at Markus Winter
Maki Umehara - Silver Sea - Born at Nagoya, Japan in 1976 the artist Maki Umehara deals in her works with the articulation of different forms through objects. The converging of artwork and circumfluent space as well as the change in perception of material under distinct outside conditions is locating Maki Umehara’s work in adjacency of the Japanese Metabolists. So the artist maintains a close dialogue with architectonical design vocabulary.
Markus Winter presents the works of Alter Carnol and Andreas Korte in Berlin
Markus Winter is proud to present the works of Alter Carnol and Andreas Korte. The two artists analyze the notion of space perception, asking basic questions about its limits and margins, examinig art’s boundaries and surpassing them at the same time. Since the 1960s, critics emphasized the dematerialisation of the object of art: the material became ephemeral, transient, of secondary importance. Contrary to this attidute denying the physical constitution of the
Group show ‘Local Paintings’ at Markus Winter in Berlin
‘Local Paintings’ is questioning the concept of the ‘international style’ in modernist art. Apart from being often associated with an individual relationship to the artwork or the focus on personal expression, the title evokes a connection between the painting and the world outside the gallery/studio walls, a relationship repressed by modernist art theory. The show confronts the work of four painters, of different nationalities, with different educational, professional and social backgrounds
